Everyone worships! But we know that God seeks those who worship Him in spirit and truth. Music is an important part of our lifestyles of worship, giving public voice to our private devotion. Our desire in our times of corporate worship is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, bringing glory to His great name. Music is an incredible gift given to us by God, and we treasure every opportunity to give it back to Him as a sacrifice of praise.
There is a place of ministry and service for you in the Worship and Music Ministry no matter what your age or musical skill level. We are learning more and more each day that worship is not a spectator sport! It is something that every believer is called to do.

Children's Music Opportunities We have a Children's hand chime and vocal choir for all children age 5 through grade 5 that meets on Wednesday nights. There your child will find caring choir leaders and workers as well as fun and challenging music activities!
Youth Music Opportunities Our Youth Music Ministry involves all teenagers in grades 6-12. Music is incorporated into the Sunday Night L.I.F.E. program that meets each Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Youth sing along with popular Christian group DVD's using high tech video projectors that project the band and words on a screen. From time to time a Youth Praise Band has been formed as well. Occasionally the youth lead in worship by singing a popular song they have learned. Those who don't "love" to sing participate in dramas & skits, sound & lights, or staging.

| Adult Music Opportunities | |||||||||

The Chancel Choir is certainly the most visible of our music groups, providing special music and worship support for our 10:45 a.m. morning service and other special services such as during holiday seasons. Membership in the Chancel Choir is open to anyone Senior High age and above. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. The Joy Singers Choir is open to all senior adults who have a true desire to make a joyful noise to the Lord. We meet on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 2:00pm.
No experience is necessary to be an active and vital part of either choir — just a love for God and a desire to praise Him with your voice.

If you are a part of the First Family, you are already a part of the biggest and most important choir of all: the congregation! Each week as we lift our voices in praise and adoration we offer to Him more than just words and music… we are offering to Him our lives as we seek to know and to do His will. It is our sincere desire to not just sing old songs and learn new ones: we want to live a life of worship that is pleasing to Him! |
